About 2B Consulting
2B Consulting GmbH is a German IT services and consulting company based in Nordhorn, Lower Saxony. Founded in 1997, it helps medium-sized companies digitise their business documents and the processes around them. It began as an IBM AS400 specialist, and IBM i remains one of the platforms it knows best.
The core practice is Enterprise Content Management (ECM) and document management (DMS), built mainly on the d.velop documents platform, where 2B Consulting has been a certified partner since 2005. It delivers on-premise and in the cloud, and its portfolio spans digital files, inbound invoice processing, archiving, contract management, electronic signatures and Output Management with Interform.
How we work together
Output Management and document management cover two stages of the same document flow. InterformNG2 handles Output Management - creating and distributing outgoing business documents such as invoices, delivery notes, labels and production orders. ECM and document management, which is 2B Consulting's specialism, cover the capture, storage, retrieval and governance of documents once they have been created.
2B Consulting runs an established Output Management practice built on InterformNG2. Interform develops the product and provides training and second-line support; 2B Consulting sells, implements and supports it for German customers alongside its ECM practice.
Output Management on IBM i
Both companies have a long track record on IBM i. InterformNG2 reads the spool files and application data an IBM i system already produces and turns them into finished documents and labels, delivered by print, email, PDF or EDI. 2B Consulting has worked on the platform since it started out as an AS400 specialist, so the team implementing the output layer also knows the system underneath it.
Output Management and ECM together
For customers running d.velop documents, InterformNG2 creates the outgoing documents and d.velop then captures, stores and governs them. That gives one route from ERP data to long-term archive, with a specialist responsible for each stage.
