As a module within Interform, InterExcel gives you the full power of the Interform platform. It provides a simple way to convert a wide range of data types (XML, txt/CSV, JSON, SCS, AFPDS…) into Excel files (XLSX), which can then be saved to a folder, the IFS, an archive solution, or distributed by email.
Many Interform users rely on InterExcel to receive daily personalised reports, delivered automatically.
InterExcel works on any platform where Interform is installed. Whether you run IBM i, AS400, Windows, Linux, on-premise or in the cloud, you can work with the same wide range of data formats across environments.
With InterExcel, you can create Excel output from almost any business application. Data formats such as XML, SCS, AFPDS, CSV/TXT, or JSON can all be converted into a clean, structured Excel report.
Once your Excel report is created, you can use Interform’s workflow to distribute it automatically. Reports can be emailed, archived in SharePoint, or routed to other destinations depending on your rules.
You can define specific distribution rules per report or allow users to choose how their reports should be delivered.
InterExcel allows you to reuse your existing Excel files as templates.
After selecting your template, you simply map your source data using the InterExcel interface. You can reuse full templates, reuse parts of older templates, or build new ones from scratch.
Templates can include charts, pivot tables, and formatting that will be populated automatically with variable data during output.
InterExcel expands the number of input and output formats available within Interform distribution workflows. You can use Excel files as a source for label printing or convert ERP or data from other applications to Excel and distribute it through any of Interform’s output channels.
