About Ferli
Ferli ehf is a software house and distributor based in Kópavogur, just outside Reykjavík. Established in 1991, it has specialised in IBM i solutions ever since.
Alongside its own applications for the Icelandic market - Thjodarsyn for national registry lookups and Ibuasyn for municipal resident management - Ferli distributes IBM i and Windows software from international vendors, including Interform. It has been the Interform distributor for Iceland since 2000.
How we work together
Many Icelandic organisations run business-critical systems on IBM i (Power), and those systems produce a steady flow of documents and labels: invoices, statements, purchase orders, delivery notes and barcoded output. InterformNG2 produces every one of those documents from a single Output Management platform and delivers them to the right destination.
Interform develops InterformNG2 and provides product engineering from Denmark. Ferli scopes each project, installs the software, builds the document and label templates against the customer's own IBM i applications, and supports the result in Iceland.
Output Management on IBM i
InterformNG2 runs natively on IBM i, so there is no additional platform to install and maintain. It reads the spool files and application data your systems already produce (SCS, XML, JSON and more) and turns them into accurate documents and labels, delivered by print, PDF and email. You can reformat existing IBM i output, generate PDFs, email them as attachments and drive Zebra label printers - without changing the underlying applications.
InterformNG2 for IBM i →Across Windows, Linux and Unix
InterformNG2 also runs on Windows, Linux and Unix, so Ferli customers can apply the same Output Management approach to documents produced outside IBM i. The same platform and the same browser-based designer cover every system, working from JSON, XML, CSV, SCS, PDF, plain text and Excel input.
